Tim Barron Senior Spokesmodel MEGAN

We had a great time shooting around Ben Irving Reservoir, just west of Winston. The sun was out, but still a little cold out on the dock, but Megan was a brave little toaster and endured the wind to get some great shots… We wanted to highlight her dance/ballet… BIG SHOUT OUT  to… Kathryn Howards School of Dance in Roseburg.. woop woop…

These teens  were heading to their first formal and I was able to capture some pretty cool images of them..  I have found that teens are amazing to photoograph.  They bring energy and fun into any session..  Take a look at their gallery…here

Senior Spirit

Currently, I am working on an amazing experience for the Tim Barron Senior Street Team…  This summer all my senior reps are encourage to participate in this fun shoot out.  We will spend one day shooting four exciting and different locations.  Here is what I am thinking right now.  We gotta get back to the airport, and maybe a vintage aircraft.. Then on to a grungy background with a Harley or chopper in the scene.  Then I am thinking, of moving on to a farm or vineyard and getting some rural shots.. maybe with a western theme.  Then it will be on to the Team’s choice.  They will have to come up with the scene and that is what we shoot.

Roseburg High Prom

What an amazing time we had… Shooting at the Roseburg Airport…. The great people there allowed us time to shoot on the airfield.  We then moved to another location in Roseburg and had a bunch more shots with “the couch”……  I hope the experience with shooting on the airfield and the variety of stuff we were able to do, added to what I have heard was a pretty great Roseburg Junior Senior Prom

What makes me do what I do

I just finished my homework and it was very thought provoking.  I read an article about Oprah and her rise from a troubled youth to one of the world’s most well known media personalities.  One analyst stated Oprah was not in “business of business” she was in “business of soothing souls”.  This got me to thinking about my own passions and my own life..

I am not in the business of photography, I am the business of emotions. Well, Tim, what does that mean???  Once I create an image of you and we see the final edit it must evoke an emotion, it must make you smile, laugh, giggle, cry.  That is what makes me do what I do….

Creating visual pieces that can be shared and admired for years. Memories that can be passed down from generation to generation.  You have to accept that you, no matter how much we try, will not be around forever…   So, capturing those moments today are so important…  and we must actually print those memories…  Why prints?  Let’s think back roughly to 1983…. That maybe before some of you where born but hang in there and I will ge to my point…  In 1983, we had the invention of this magical round flat disc to store files on and even before that we had floppy discs…  So, what is my point… Technology is changing at such an amazing rate… One item in photography has not changed in about 150 years…. The printed photograph…. check this link out for more info on the first

photo…. first photo

when technology fails us, we  want something to remember our family by… I document my kids growing and I always print out some photos just to hang onto because…  in fact, I print a special album at the end of the year… Why??? a hard drive may crash, a disc may become corrupt, a thumb drive may get lost.. or various other things can happen to our digital media… and those image will be gone forever… I say print some….  The threat of fire or some other natural disaster is far less probable than digital media failing us…

Just my thoughts for today….

I am sure you have heard of it.. but if not, what is it all about…….  Photo fusion is about making a piece of art, or crafting a beautiful video that uses beautiful still images mixed with beautiful video images to make a photo fusion video.  This is another aspect of my photography that I have grown to love.

The video capabilities of the new DSLR cameras make this a reality for photographers and an amazing piece of art for you an your family to enjoy for years..

The scenarios are endless, A skater at the skate park, A cowboy riding, band players, athletes training….   I would love to bring the possibilities to a reality for you…

I will be posting more on photo fusion in the coming weeks….

The Lonely Island

Yep, they are a little crass, a little politically incorrect, a little naughty… well a lot..  but they are creative and extremely talented…

Thanks for stopping by… A little about the experience…

I remember when it was time for me to get my senior photos taken. I was not thrilled with the overall experience. I felt like I was being told how to do everything. How to sit, how to stand, where to look.. I felt like the photographer was just trying to get through the session. That is totally not my style. I am not a high production photographer, and you will never be treated like cattle being herded through the process. So plan for your session to go a little longer than what you were scheduled for. I do this just to ensure I have enough awesome images that when I go to edit I have a difficult time deciding my favorites. After your session, I will keep you informed of where your photos are in the process. I do ask that you friend me on facebook, shortly after you book your session this allows me to Tag you in photos, then you will be able to use those as new profile images. And on the day of the big reveal, I package everything up and bring my digital display to your home for your family and decision makers to see the big reveal.

My goals for your experience are the following:

Exceed your expectations
Treat you as a celebrity
Make you a star
